HTC Asia has declared the availability of the WM6 for a selected version of the Dopod devices. This much anticipated WM6 will be on stores starting from today and will be on sale for the rest of the week! Patrons hope that HTC USA will also follow the lead very soon. Mio updates P350 and P550!

Mio seems to have a couple of new GPS-saturated PDA’s in the pipeline! And with the all new P360 and P560 models geared up to take over the previous P350 and P550 units, the above hunch looks to be a reality!  The previous models which did not support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 are given a prominent place in the newer versions! Though speculations are rife, this inclusion seems to be “the news”! Apart from that, the devices have a better streamlined design than the previous models and also sport a SD/MMC slot for expansion purposes! This device flaunts a Windows Mobile 6 core serving as the operating system and also includes a built-in microphone, and an embedded GPS antenna! The prices of the new models (the previous models started at $366) are still not available and remain in the dark!

Described as a power accessory, the A696 is a pretty sleek phone (1.57 cm) but does manage to include an entire GPS function without the need of an antenna! The body is enclosed in stainless steel and flaunts an anti-glare 3.5 inch touch screen! The Destinator Technologies’ routing engine and navigation content is found in A696 GPS and includes a QuickNav button which makes it easier and faster to travel to a pre determined address or POI. This device includes an 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.0 and operating at 416MHz; it sports a 256MB Flash ROM, 64MB SDRAM (expansion with an SD card slot in case you need more space!). The A696 is indeed an indispensible accessory for the globe trotters!
