This is a follow up to the previous article we had
written on the rumor about the release on the upgrade for HTC TyTN. The news is at last official! But this is
exclusively for those users who own a branded HTC Hermes known as HTC TyTN! Here’s
how you can get your hands on it! If you are a registered user, then log on to
the “My Downloads” page HTC e-club website and register yourself for free (if
you have not already registered) along with IMEI and if you have any doubts
regarding the procedure, you can also log on to the page which shows all
additional data where you don’t actually need a registration and pose any
questions you need to! The HTC Hermes is the sole representation of HTC until
the Kaiser makes a debut! The device has a sleek and elegant look with an
authentic scroll wheel, supports HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and UMTS video calling
to be flaunted! This is the very first HTC device to get an upgrade with
upgrades for HTC P3300, S620 and Advantage set to follow in august! HTC is
mainly releasing this upgrade mainly to enhance their client relationship and
provide their users with long term satisfaction by providing updates to keep
abreast with the changes in the technology! But on the flip side the release of
Windows Mobile 6 upgrade for operator based HTC Hermes device is still

Here’s another scoop! AT&T is planning to launch some new handsets!
Apart from the Blackberry, Pantech and Motorola RAZR, the telecom giants are
all set to roll out two new devices-Motorola MOTO Q9 and the SMT5700
(manufactured exclusively by the Chinese Amoi)! The Motorola MOTO Q9 is already
highly popular as the windows mobile powered Smartphone which supports not only
GSM/GPRS/EDGE but also UMTS and HSDPA! On the contrary, nothing much is known
about Amoi SMT5700. The limited information released about this device is the
fact that it was initially planned to be launched as EDGE only powered by Windows
Mobile 5 exclusively for Smartphones! The launch date is tentatively bound to
be during August!

 HTC Kaiser is the official successor to the HTC Hermes
(also known as HTC TyTN) and is packed with some great features! The HTC Kaiser
has a built in GPS, and has a real sleek look with a tilted keyboard. There is
a genuine scroll wheel and the support for HSUPA which enables faster downloads
along with HSDPA is welcomed! The code name of this device is Kaiser but the
official name is P4550 and is likely to be renamed as TyTN II because it so
closely resembles its predecessor! The flop side seems to be the limited
battery capacity (1350 mAh), a slightly uncomfortable keypad and the volume of
speaker dips when u place it on any flat surface! In spite of the minor
hitches, the HTC Kaiser seems to be very reliable and practical and along with
UMTS/3G, powerful processor and a 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera thrown in,

Psst, the 3GSM World Congress dropped subtle hints that Palm is all set to
release the Windows Mobile upgrade for their Treo 750 Smartphone! But it is not
really clear if it is a free upgrade for those who are currently the registered
users of Treo 750 or just a preview of a Treo 750 powered by Windows Mobile 6
Professional. The palm and Microsoft would be making the Windows Mobile 6
available on the Treo 750 Smartphone! The latest upgrade will enable users to
connect to the internet without needing to download any extra software which
