Google, as a part of its limited bets test, has
now started inviting mobile website developers to display Google ads on their
site! The Google Adsense program helps mobile website owners to earn money by
displaying advertisements on their websites! The backend network of Google
places ads on site which are relevant to the contents and every time someone
clicks the advertisements, the owner of the site earns revenue! But this option
is available only for those websites written in mobile markup language such as
WML (Wireless Markup Language), XHTML (Extensible Hypertext Markup Language)
and CHTML (Compact HTML)! The reason for this is to enable Googles crawlers to
read the page in those languages to decipher the page content and put up
relevant ads! The going seems to be good for Google and considering the
limitations of the screen size bandwidth on mobile phones, the click based
models seem to be a hit! This is going to get bigger, thanks to the increase in
Mobile advertising to get the company or their product right in front of their
prospective customers!

The latest
trend in Europe seems to be releasing ROM upgrades not on their own websites!
HTC Hermes which is a creation of O2 has launched a ROM upgrade for the Windows
Mobile 6, German version and that too on a HTC website! And thats not all,
there seems to be a change in the procedure for downloading the upgrade! The
users have to key in their serial number of the phone without which the
download does not happen! In the West(read as Europe and USA), apart from
Dopod, O2 is the very first to offer Windows Mobile 6 ROM upgrade for HTC

HP has come up with one of the very first of its kind
Smartphone! The iPAQ 515 Voice Messenger is a windows mobile powered Smartphone
without a touchscreen! This is the very first Smartphone to have a Windows
Mobile 6 platform (standard version) which is produced by HP and this means
that the previous versions (windows mobile 5) will not be upgraded. Apart from
that, the main function of this device is making voice calls (hence the name
Voice Messenger). By making use of the VoIP and GSM network, you can now make voice
calls easily and even switch from one network to another as long as theres
Wi-Fi! There is also a 2 display which has a resolution of 176x220 pixels (but
not the transmissive type) which gives it a really neat and sleek look. This
device also flaunts a 200 MHz Texas Instruments OMAP 850 processor, Bluetooth
facility, a super large memory of 128 MB of ROM and 64 MB of RAM along with a
1.3 megapixel camera and voice control facility thrown in! But, this phone also
has its faults but considering the fact that this is the very first production,
the reviewers are pretty impressed. For more information, click here!
