Not more than a week ago, Fennec (Firefox for PocketPC) got updated with a second Alpha version. Meanwhile Skyfire won’t wanna stay behind by announing their next update.

In this update, skyfire boasts of nothing but reduced memory footprints. Skyfire is actually a free internet browser for windows mobile based PocketPC devices, lately supporting Nokia’ Symbian platform as well, displays websites faster optimized for mobile internet speeds by pre loading it and compressing them on their own servers before delivering to the handsets, also promises full flash support although untested by us yet. Somewhat like the technology which we saw in Thunderfire long ago.

Lately we’re having a lot of browsers to pick from. Mach 5 was trying to challenge Skyfire and we have seen Iris browser getting an update after our review here and after all of them, we see many are still loving Opera for their brand image or after their real performance maybe. We even have the latest and upcoming 9.7 version of Opera for download.

For all these long periods we were using and have been tired of the all beta versions of Opera 10 browser on our PocketPC phones. Now the end of the beta versions has arrived and the official Opera 10 for Windows Mobile has been released.
