Security configuration problem 1 Year, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi All,

I have O2 Windows Mobile device.
I want to install my application on the device.
But unable to start the exe.
When I am going to deploy my application from Visual Studio 2005 directly.
It gives me following error:
"The device security configuration disallowed the connection. Ensure that you have the appropriate certificates on your device for development. Review your SDK documentation for proper security settings for connecting to this device."
Any one know how to change the security configuration?

Regards,
Pariksheet.

If your O2 is the XdaIIi mini, VS2005 has some issues with connecting to PocketPC phones with WM2003se edition. Try building the application and manually copy the .exe file to PocketPC and execute there and tell us if that works.

And is it a .net CF application or a MFC as you usally do?

Anyway, recently we found a WM6.1 upgrade for O2 mini, have you tried it?

Regards,
Carty..

thanks for reply.
My application is MFC application.
I also tried by copying file manually and run.
Still it won't work.

Can you post the exact error details that appear when you manually copy and execute the file on your PocketPC. Also tell us your device model along with the OS version.

Carty..
