SD Sync for Pocket PC
Presents: SD Sync 2.0!
ActiveSync will not synchronize Storage Card and You'll never know when your SD Card gets corrupted! The software will run silently on your Desktop PC and Synchronizes whatever changes you make on your Storage Card! How does it
work?
No matter how many Storage Cards you use, each are recognized uniquely by the software and synchronized to the Desktop PC' Hard-disk whenever you connect your Pocket PC! Only the first time when you SetUp the Synchronization, the entire contents of your SD card is copied to a desired location of your choice on the Desktop PC' Hard-disk. On further connections, only the changes that you make are updated. So there will not be any performance issues.
Connecting Pocket PC to Desktop The main advantage of having a Windows Mobile device is the great flexibility it offers integrating with your Desktop Windows. Most of all, your important data such as Contacts, Tasks, Appointments are Synchronized to the Outlook that you have on your Desktop PC. Yes, you need Microsoft Office on your desktop PC if you need the Contacts and everything to be synchronized. Yeah, its like a marketing strategy for Microsoft to sell their Office application too :) Active Sync 4.5 Beta - for Pocket PC SynczCouple of days ago we just posted various issues and fixes for Async, which helped many by the feedbacks we received. Now Microsoft has released the next Updated Beta version 4.5! If you would have read our article we posted earlier, you probably don’t want to download this version. But if you are using a Windows Mobile 5 edition on your Pocket PC, then you may need it. Anyway, just keep in mind that Beta softwares should always be used under your own risk! Active Sync Problems
Your Pocket PC has been made very friendly in synchronizing with your desktop pc. However, we find many having troubles in synchronizing, including us actually. A simple sollution we strongly recommend is to use the same version of Active Sync that was originally shipped in the cd with your pocket pc device. Proceed to upgrades only if you require any new feature in it, else downgrading is also not as easy as upgrade! The way Active Sync work has been changed in 3.x and 4.x versions. Activesync 4.x is required if you have a Windows Mobile 5 (WM5) device. If you have devices running 2003se or earlier ppc os' you should NOT upgrade activesync to version 4.1!!! Version 4 drops a number of features available in 3.x versions (such as the ability to sync via wifi) and uses none of the new connectivity methods to connect non WM5 devices.
The following are some fixes for several common problems Tags: active sync |
