HTC’s going back to the basics and this is nothing new. Remember the S740 which had us enthralled with its simple elegance and suave style.

The S743 is a poor replica of the S740, customized oddly to fit the US standards.  Powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, this device boasts of a 2.4-inch QVGA display and a design which is inspired by the Touch Diamond.

The slide-out QWERTY keyboard reminds you of a time where the tap, tap, tap of the keys were the only means to access your phone. But, the awesome 3G has been replaced with HSDPA to suit the American conditions which isn’t really comprehensive. Now, we’re predicting that this one would hit the markets in a month or so.
