After a really, really, really long time, we get a trickle of information on i-mate. We’d presumed that i-mate was on a rather extended vacation but has now re-surfaced with a bang.

The latest Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade is not all that smooth as conjured up. For instance, the set up files harbor countless errors with downloads failing to compete. A word of caution here - your account downloads may be for the next 24 hours. The latest version promises compatibility with a Bluetooth mouse coupled with a few other mind-blowing updates. WM 6.1 on i-Mate 9502 pgh3 (121.219.44.xxx) 2008-12-25 11:13:32 I upgraded last night - and it went extremely well and without a hitch! Following the instructions posted on i-Mate's web site, I backed up my phone to my SD card (Spb Backup), downloaded and installed the upgrade. The phone restarted itself a couple of times and when finished, I put back the apps I wanted - the whole process took about two hours - without a problem! Thanks i-Mate! Reply | Quote 2   0
