Weve spotted the Explora K70/K75 which you would have spotted in the wild a while ago. The device flaunts Windows Mobile 6.1 and is armed with MSM7201A 528MHz processor to fire up things a bit. Weve also spotted 256MB of RAM and 256MB of ROM to work its magic. Moreover, theres a quad-band GSM/EDGE capability apart from tri-band HSDPA/HSUPA options, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microSDHC slot and a 3.0 megapixel camera. Nothing earth shattering here, huh? On the other hand, the K85 is Mios more stylish offering. We can vouch for a 3.6-inch screen with 480x800 pixels for a clearer resolution. Moreover, there is a 5-megapixel camera to spice up your life. We have no idea when this will hit the market and the price tag on this one. All we know is that the top guns are going to have a hard time competing with Mios midget device. Related PocketPC Posts:Mio Lovebird Pocket PC
Mio's gen next GPS device-P560!
Mio updates P350 and P550! Mio seems to have a couple of new GPS-saturated PDA’s in the pipeline! And with the all new P360 and P560 models geared up to take over the previous P350 and P550 units, the above hunch looks to be a reality! The previous models which did not support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 are given a prominent place in the newer versions! Though speculations are rife, this inclusion seems to be “the news”! Apart from that, the devices have a better streamlined design than the previous models and also sport a SD/MMC slot for expansion purposes! This device flaunts a Windows Mobile 6 core serving as the operating system and also includes a built-in microphone, and an embedded GPS antenna! The prices of the new models (the previous models started at $366) are still not available and remain in the dark! MiTAC Mio A501 Pocket PC Here comes another GPS Pocket PC Phone device from MiTAC. Only WM5 with AKU 3.5 (no WM6), 201MHz TI OMAP 850 processor, 2.7" QVGA screen, 64/128 RAM/ROM capacity, quad-band GSM, SiRFstar III GPS chip, and Bluetooth 2.0. Unfortunately, there's no 3G wireless (Edge GPRS instead) and no WiFi.
Do you ever get interested in buying a device with WM5 when WM6 is announced? Neither do I! But this device looks a little pleasing to me in shape and size. Hope we get an upgrade to WM6 atleast after the device is launched. Tags: Mio Explora K70/K75 |
