Solar Powered Mobile Device!

Monday, 25 June 2007

Ever wished for the latest mobile device with the eco friendly tag? The new Solar cell phone is all set to launch. You could now do your bit for the environment! Find out how!

Solar Mobile DeviceThe buzz has it that the solar cell phone is now commercially available. There have been prototypes and speculations about this for decades, but now, the world’s very first solar cell phone is all set to enter the market! This solar device comes with a 1.3 mpx camera and has an MP3 player as well. But what sets it apart from the others is the solar panel which comes with it. This means that these panels charge the battery in any amount of light-ranging from indoors to even candle light! Expose for an hour in direct sunlight and you have 40 minutes of extra talk time! The panels make the battery last 2.5 times longer than the ones without the panel. Though the first model (S116 sold at a whopping $510) seems exciting, HiTech Wealth telecommunications (based in China) plan to launch six more solar mobile phones within the year! The company also plans to launch 30 solar models before 2009. With such plans in the pipeline, the solar cell phone is all set to go places!
