Have you read the war of processors in 2009? Looks like Qualcomm' Snapdragon will win. After many pocket pc manufactures sign-up deals, one among them is Toshiba for their upcoming TG01 Pocket PC.

Toshiba does have an history in the pocket pc arena with their old porteage g810 and porteage g900 which dies out soon with some locking problems on sluggish roms.

After looking at HTC' success in Windows Mobile devices, Toshiba doesn't wanna stay behind. They even understood that the key to succes is by adding Custom UI and eye candy effects to the plain windows mobile operating system.

TG01 is the next pocket pc unveild by Toshiba which is supposed to be a high end pocket pc packing the awesome 1 Ghz Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm along with a huge 4.1" WVGA (480 x 800) touch screen. 512MB ROM, microSDHC slot, HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, aGPS, a G-sensor, a virtual trackpad, out-of-the-box DivX support, and a custom touch-friendly GUI all are added bonus to this slim pocket pc.

Not satisfied with the Toshiba TG01 that has a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor with a large 4.1” Touch screen? HTC makes something slightly better for you and calls it the Leo or Firestone.

We thought Toshiba TG01 will be the only competitor for HTC Touch PRO 2. But it looks like Omnia 2 is on the line too with a bright AMOLED touch screen.
