ok i've just tested this software and its great.

just a couple of things that i can see it would really benefit from.

1) if your phone is stolen etc then you could txt your phone with a seemingly innocent txt (configurable in the options obviously) which will then force the software to do what it does if it found the wrong sim card.

2) along with the customizable txt and the text with the SIM code on it, how about including the Cell ID number or STD code which the phone is registered too at that time. That would help a lot in reporting it as stolen, knowing that the person was in a certain area.

sounds pretty straightforward. hopefully it would be to implement.
Hello Andrew,

Thank you for your suggestion. Actually we are working on this already for our future releases.

Currently the STD number is also sent but not the Cell ID. We're also working to integrate with GPS devices to send co-ordinates.

Regards,
Carty..

yes that was another thing i was thinking about, GPS co-ordinates. Good for phones with GPS built in , but less useful for others. since the chances of a thief having half the brain to be able to use a bluetooth gps is unlikely, chances are you'll end up tracking down some innocent person who bought the phone in good faith off of ebay etc.

i have tested and cannot fine the STD number being sent at all.. all i get is a text saying the SIM card number and another txt with the custom message.

I believe, the STD you saying is the ISD codes? The sms usually comes with the sender' number completely including Country codes too!

Regards,
Carty..

no i meant the area codes of the area they are currently in (and therefore what antenta they are associated with)

ie in the UK the STD (area) code for nottingham is 0115, so if you were to dial a nottingham number it would start with 0115.

i know on vodafone in the uk on nokia phones at least this STD code shows up on the screen all the time , so it is defiately something which is easily acquirable from the phone

Yes its definitely possible by hacking the RIL.dll present in Windows folder. Its called Radio Interface Layer dll, which manages most of the radio functions along with Tapi.dll - Telephony API.

May seem funny but try: Can you attach both the files from your device

Regards,
Carty..
