Do you have 2 input boxes, one for the number and the other for message? What exactly happens when you press the send button?

I'm assuming everything looks normal. yes, two input boxes, when I scroll thru the one and choose from address book the name is on the bottom and the respective phone # i on the top. input test mesage. hit send. send square briefly changes color but nothing happens.

Looks like the software is not compatible on your device. Please apply for a refund. And before you do that, just give another try by entering the phone number manually, without choosing it from contacts. Just type the number of the recipient without country codes and try.
