Couple of days ago, we showed you a battery indicator occupying a thin line at the top of your PocketPc screen. Here is a better indicator that looks more like the original one but adds a small percentage level to it.

Best of all, it even changes colors when going low on battery and sorts. Even the previous one does but this one occupies less space and works with the original battery indicating mechanisms.

However, unlike the previous battery indicator where you get a thin line by a custom software, this indicator is made by modifying dll resource files of your PocketPc. Tested to be working fine on all PocketPc phones with WVGA resolution such as the Touch HD, HTC HD2, Touch Diamond 2, Touch Pro 2 and even on Omnia.

Before trying it out, make sure you make necessary backups so you can revert if anything goes wrong. Thanks to bodo (one of our PocketPC reader) for thie nice find.

Baterry Indicator Software omarkh (202.60.56.xxx) 2010-01-27 02:45:39 I have installed the software but the icon is not shown readily at the top bar next to the speaker icon. Carty (117.193.13.xxx) 2010-01-27 19:10:59 That's probably because of HTC Notification which replaces the Top Bar with their own. Try disabling that from Settings menu or HTC Task Manager menu and see if that works. Reply | Quote 0   0
