We know you were quite tired with the older version of FaceBook client for PocketPC phones made by Microsoft themselves. Finally, here come an update.

Microsoft once mentioned about an update to version 1.1 which we waited for long but never saw it arrive. Now at last we have got a even later version 1.2 released last week first for Windows Mobile 6.5 Standard (non-touch screen) edition and now available even for the Professional (Touch screen) PocketPC phones too.

The only thing you have to do is just download the cab file and install it on to your Device, then you will be all set for the new features of the Windows Mobile Face Book.

Some of the new features we noted are:

• Some bug fixes and improved speed
• Ability to Comment and View already made comments
• Choose “Like”(or “Dislike”) on comments
• “Search” for new contacts or even the existing ones

Previously we were complaining that Microsoft was using the Main Memory to cache images which eventually made the PocketPC slower after days of usage, now we have a registry tweak that allows you to set your own path for the image cache.
Modify the value "Path" in "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Facebook\ImageCache\" to set your own Image Cache path.

Although, we prefer having it as an option within the FaceBook application itself on PocketPC. Still, the feature of Live feeds, chat and to check who has “liked” any post or image are lacking in the newer version.
