Who doesn’t know that necessity is the mother of invention? Although HTC has made a nice finger friendly volume control sliders replacing the old, small volume pop-up sliders of Windows Mobile OS, it is available only to newer PocketPc phones with Touch Flo and that made an xda-member to make one for himself and went half way through.

The new finger friendly volume sliders made by ponchofiesta from xda looks a lot like HTC’ own volume sliders but the only difference is it is a lot smaller occupying just the left part of your PocketPc screen and that it isn’t fully functional yet.

Currently it can be opened only by pressing any of the volume slider keys first and moving the sliders with stylus away from the bar does not work yet. It also does not update the speaker icon at the top and seems to block some important keys like Call receive and end. Funny that most PocketPc phones coming out lately have only these two keys and blocking them is not fair, however its not done on purpose and the developer is working on fixing the issues.

Also, the slider works in changing only the system volume at the moment and not in-call volume. Don’t try attempting until a proper version comes out as it is only in Beta stage at the moment.
