PC Sync program AT&T Tilt (HTC 8900) 3 Weeks, 5 Days ago Karma: 0
I purased PC Syc so tha I could use it as a back up for my SD card. My question is, now that I have aready bought it--nice time to ask---it is a back up that sync to keep the "backup" sync'd. Why I ask the question the dialoug just says "Move" and not copy or anyhthing like that. Will it move my data off my SD card to my PC and leave it also on the card like a copy or does it take it all the card and I have a blank card???? Sounds like a weird question but after a hard reset and restoing all my stuff, its a lot of work and I don't what to have to restore my card again.
Thanks,
Bob

Dear Bob,

Are you talking about my software SD Sync? It simply copies the entire contents of your Storage card to PC and keeps a backup there. Whenever a change is made to the SD card like adding/deleting files on SD Card, the application will apply the changes also on the Desktop.

So in theory, a mirror of your SD card is placed on the desktop. The files are not moved, they are copied. So your SD Card will still have the files.

Regards,
Carty..

Hi Carty,
I have tried several times to back up my card and it just I set up a backup location on my pc to backup too. When I try to Sync it just stays in one spot on the progress bar and never moves off the start. I am not sure what else I have to do to get it to sync.
Thanks,
Bob

Did the first sync complete by a black colored command window showing progress of copying?

Can you please zip the folder Program Files\SD Sync folder of your Pocket PC and mail me?

Regards,
Carty..

Hi Carty,
I read your note. I thought I wonder if I should reinstall it an make sure it was installed correctly. I did the installation again and it talked about an exception and said do you want to continue and I said yes. Then I did the soft reset like it said and it came up with WN32 Exception and I clicked ok on that box. I then tried to sync again and it did the same thing as it did originally it just sits there, says its syncing and the progress bar just sits where it starts and was like that for over a half an hour and no change. This is about as detailed as I can tell you.

Thanks,
Bob
