We have been hearing about the lack of multi-tasking support since the early unveiling of Windows Phone 7 Series and now they further disappoint us with cutting down on more power user stuffs.
We always love the versatility of Windows Mobile phones where the OS can be customized above ad beyond the themes. Although we have seen some nice task managers in the past, here’s a new one supporting themes on its own.
TCPMP, as we all know is the media player which allows us to watch movies on our PocketPC and till this date we were happy with the old 98 model skin for the Player. Now after a long, long wait here comes a new skin for the iconic free Media Player on your PocketPC.
Touch Pro 2 has a nice black dialer screen and these kind of custom stuff made by HTC for PocketPc users are usually not distributed to older users as it will reduces HTC’ sales of new Pocket PC phones. Don’t worry, here we have the dialer screen that you can download and install on your Pocket PC.
As the Mobile World Congress starts this Monday just 3 days from today, Microsoft will launch their new version of Mobile OS, the Windows Mobile 7 (now told as Windows Phone 7).
The one of the issues that Windows Mobile users had to face after installing the Mobile Shell 3.5.3 was the skinned menus of HTC getting disabled to the standard old Windows Mobile menus.
Previously as rumors had, we thought Windows Mobile 7 is being prepared from the ground up but now we’re sure it’s just being evolved from 6.5 and if this continues, there are high chances of failure for Microsoft again.
Sure we have seen a lot of third party calculator applications that have better looks and could perform more intensive scientific calculations. But for those who just need the basic calculating functionalities but with a better UI or looks, HTC has made the customizations for ya.
Also as you can see by my signature, I am running WM6 with no probs. I am using Custel's 2.5 for Cingular, I must say he left plenty of room for me to install anything after flashing. Definitely recommend it for the Hermes! ;D
