Hi Nick,<br /><br />I've a Dopod 838 pro (Hermes), and I've made the CAB for UTAv3 and installed in on the Ext ROM, and edited the config file. However, after hardreset I can actually see the cab file being installed on the screen, but in actual fact the file is not installed into windows directory (tested manual installation and it works). Understand that Hermes startup is full security mode, the CAB need to be signed by a trusted root CA, got a disable security cab (prolly meant for Wizard) but it doesn't work on Hermes. Any workaround ? Thx

Hello Lip,<br /><br />          Yes, the Ext.ROM method will not work in Hermes alone as the CAB is not digitally signed. There is a workaround to copy the files manually by using commands like<br />CPY1:Extended_ROMhruta<br />CPY2:Windowshruta<br /><br />Complete commands have been updated in the beginning of the thread. But note that, this method will copy all files and starts UTA on the next re-boot but for the first time, it still asks if you want to run the software. I have Hermes dopod 838Pro, I copy ds.cab and edit config.txt but when I reset the device, it seems that ds.cab is not installed, do you have update for this cab that it can pass to signed installation? then I just make to copy the UTA files. Thanks

Hello Alex,<br /><br />        Unfortunately Hermes devices come with an extra security where the signing security disables doesnt work yet. You can try the other two options, one by using commands like CPY1:, CPY2:... and the second is the new Storage card method.<br /><br />Regards,<br />Carty..
