Hi Nick Carty,
Suppose when I travel abroad and use the different SIM card from other country. Can I edit (change) the information of my former SIM and replace with the new one in UTA, as well as the friend's phone numbers list. I heard that: on version 3 of Ultimate Theft Alert has only Add button but missing the remove button. I just wonder if the current version 3.5 does have this function ? What shoud I have to prevent if the theft do a hard reset ? My device is Ipaq H6315.
Regards,

Hello,
When you're travelling abroad, just add your new SIM card to the list and don't worry about the already added SIM cards because the software will support the usage of multiple SIM cards at any time.

Carty..

Hi Carty,
Thank you for your quick reply to my question. By the way would you please tell me how to install the UTA in such a way that it can report (send SMS ) anyway even if the theft do a hard reset !?

You mean: I just need to add my new SIM card to the SIM list BEFORE removing the domestic SIM card and replace it with the new one from foreign country ? This will prevent UTA from sending SMS to the phone numbers of my friends from my homeland ? (after it discovered there is a new sim card on my device)

No, actually the procedure is detailed in the User manual and I thought you must have read it. Anyway, here I explain again. You must temporarily disable UTA by deleting the file UTA 35.lnk from Windows\StartUp folder after taking a backup of it safely somewhere else. Then insert your new SIM card and when you turn on your Pocket PC, UTA will not start to check SIM cards. Now open the UTA Admin panel and add the new SIM. Once done, place the UTA v35.lnk file back to the StartUp folder to enable UTA again.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards,
NiCK Carty..

Hi Carty,
Thank you for your quick reply. Sorry I havenot read the procedure in the User manual yet because I just want to know clearly before I make an order. I'm going to use the trial version of UTA very soon ! It looks like there is no way to we can do in case the theft would do a hard reset ? Have a nice weekend !
