Hello, To All I have just Downloaded and tested new firmware update for Sprint PPC-6700. This is a beta but I have had no problems with it or with any software I am running on device. I have noticed overall performance increase in device and SPBBench Confirms performance increase it also address many needed issues with device. This has been relased by sprint not UTStarcom and is a beta. This updates the radio to v1.27 and Ext_Rom<br /><br />You Can Download From Here http://www4.sprint.com/pcsbusiness/support/downloads/index.jsp?internalId=downloads Select Windows Mobilw (CE) from dropdown list<br /><br /><br />New Features/Enhancements:<br />DDTM turned off allowing voice call through when in a data session - DDTM is disabled and incoming voice calls will come in during EVDO data session.<br />Now supports Wireless Data Roaming<br /><br />Software Fixes:<br />Fixed “Sprint Only” System Acquisition issue.<br />Fixes PRL roaming bug where the handset locks onto one channel.<br />Voice call termination caused tethered data call dropping.<br />While on a call, the user cannot use a contact from the contact list to initiate a conference call.

I just updated and notices the GPS is gone. Whats up with that?

David, the gps icon has always been removed from this device you can edit the registry to get gps icon.
