error 270 image corrupted, I have tried a couple different roms..I get the same thing...doesnt even start the upload and the error will occur, turns off my sync and the tri-color screen will stay and i have to turn off the phone and then it loads and the sync will connect again to my comuter

I dont think the Hard SPL worked either....Step 3 messes up........I have done it again so i can tell you what all i did ......ELFIN_HSPL_3.10 Extract all...step 1 100% step 2 100% then says screen should be blank and active sync sign should be gray...and it was..told me to hit enter..step 3 launch RUU..told me to connect active sync again...in order to do that i have to restart the phone....I guess this is where is wasnt complete because i also get the Error 270 update error....The image is corrupted. Please check your update utility

Maybe you have the newer version of Touch like Touch Viva or Touch 3G? Can you confirm me on that?

I have no idea...My husband got it from some guy on craigs list..I know the sim is unlocked. My husbands at&t sim is 3g and it works in the phone..would it being unlocked let it work or would the phone have to be 3g for the 3g sim? Do you have a yahoo id so we can talk on there?

Then it is almost like an HTC Touch. I would suggest you try downloading the file again and see if it works.
