The HTC HD 2 users can now have more QuickLinks and Appointments on their Home Screen as an unofficial update is now made available by the Cookie monster, and is considered as a practical hack for Sense 2.5 users.

By default, HTC Sense 2.5 shows only one Appointment and a list of about 9 shortcuts. Thanks to CookieMonster of the XDA Developers forum for extending it to 4 Appointments and up to 16 or 20 QuickLinks or shortcuts as per your wish.

This latest mod comes in the form of an easily installable CAB file, after installing, may show nothing as changed but the added QuickLinks at the bottom of the screen. But if you swipe down you can find the list of Appointments. Swiping upwards will show all the QuickLinks as usual. From there if you swipe upwards for another time it will show a clean page displaying just the Time and Date.

For a natural and simple look the changes for the QuickLinks and the Appointments are given Animations and also multi-line text support for QuickLinks are now available. For changing the QuickLinks list from 20 to 16 you can use the favorite registry editor and navigate to “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila\,” then go to “CoOkie.QuickLinksmode” and change the value from 1 to 0.
