Windows Mobile 7 Pocket PC phones are yet to be launched to public but the manufacturers like LG have already started their plans to make use of the initial launch, hyped phase. LG will probably name its first Windows Mobile 7 PocketPC as the Apollo.

Exact release date of Windows Mobile 7 may be revealed in the Mobile World Congress which takes place in Barcelona during first quarter of 2010 as that is the next big event dedicated to mobile technology.

With HSDPA and EV-DO support, the hardware of the phone will surely be a high end one and it also has a 1.3GHz Qualcomm QSD 8650 processor which will make it the most powerful PocketPC to date. We’re not sure if it will have a capacitive multi touch screen but a large 3.8 inches AMOLED WXGA display is confirmed.

Interestingly, the integrated camera is supposed to provide great quality pictures with 10 megapixels and a 720p HD video recording. The internal memory is of 2 GB shared by both RAM & ROM. You can however expand it with MicroSD cards up to 32 GB.

The battery included is of 1400 mAh which could deliver a talk time of up to 7.5 hours and the stipulated Stand-by time is 288 hrs. Internet usage time given by the battery is for 3G & WiFi are just 4.5 & 6.5 hrs considering the constant use of large AMOLED screen. However, video playbacks can last up to 10 hrs and if you just listen to music, it could last even for up to 30 hrs.
