Tired of looking the plain old carrier branded screen during boot-up? Here is a small tutorial referred from xda-dev to change the Splash screen of HTC Touch Pro.

Changing the splash screen will not cause your PocketPC to hard-reset but we highly recommend you backup your PocketPC before proceeding further. This tutorial is only for advanced users. If you haven’t done any ROM upgrade or flashed a custom Rom to your PocketPC before, you may very well be sure that you’re a beginner here and this tutorial is not for you!

Touch Pro or Raphael as called by Codename of HTC, has a screen resolution of 640x480. Hence, you first need to create your desired splash screen of this size. Make sure you save this image in .BMP format

Download RSB-BMP Converting tool. Using this tool, convert the BMP you created to .RSB file as that is how Raphael or TouchPro requires the splash screen image to be in.

From the same file you downloaded above, you shall also find a Splash-RSB Converter application. Use it to convert the .RSB file to .NB file and then using the NBH Converting tool, convert this .NB file to .NBH as this is how Windows Mobile Rom images are.

Finally with the Rom Image (.NBH file), you need to build a Rom that contains nothing but your Splash screen. You can use the tool Raphael Custom RUU for this job and finally flash your phone.
