Previously, due to lack of proper documentation and driver support, it was almost impossible to record a phone conversation and that added to the lack of some nice auto answering softwares which is possible even in a stupid series 30 Nokia phone. Things change now.

Before HTC Touch Diamond was released, every software attempted to record a call on Windows Mobile PocketPc was not capable of recording anything spoken from the other end. Meaning, it can record everything spoken on the microphone (what you speak) but could not record anything from the speaker/ear piece (what the other person or the caller speaks). So whenever you recorded, you will hear just what you spoke but not the voice from the other end. Although Vito Audio Notes claimed to record phone calls, it just did what is mentioned above except for some non HTC handsets like the Eten Glofiish and Samsung Omnia where it worked well.

After Touch HD was released, HTC included a native Call Recording option in their customized dialer which was then ported to the Touch Diamond too. Maybe by reversing the code, someone might have unlocked the secrets to this undocumented information and after which we saw this Two Way Call Recorder.

Now a better automatic call recording application has been released by another xda-dev member and he is with the constant enthusiasm of fixing bugs and developing the application with more and more features. Try it out and you will be impressed by it's results even though it lacks any eye candy GUI.
