Couple of days ago, T-Mobile released an official Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade to their rebranded Touch Diamond 2 and now it’s bigger brother gets an upgrade too.

MDA Vario V is the T-Mobile rebranded Touch Pro 2 launched back in June this year. Just in case if you happen to own this device, go and grab the new Windows Mobile 6.5 official update from here. And we’re talking about T-Mobile Germany users here.

Touch Pro 2 users on other carriers could download the official Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM updates from HTC. Please report back if any of your Touch Pro 2 fails in the update process and we will try to help.

We expect most of them to have already played with unofficial windows mobile 6.5 ROM upgrades for sure and there’s nothing better than a original shipped ROM such as this one. So go ahead and flash it. Make sure you have taken backup of all the stuffs in your Main Memory. Backups taken with softwares like Spb Backup on older ROMs may not work well restoring into new ROMs.

HTC promised to offer Windows Mobile 6.5 updates to the Touch Diamond 2 and Touch Pro 2 when they were first released, here they come after the official launch of Windows Mobile 6.5. First to come is for the T-Mobile branded MDA Compact V.

Touch PRO 2 had a early launch sale at Clove Technology (UK) for 800 USD and now comes to US by T-Mobile. Not until August and no MDA Varios this time.

The T-Mobile, Germany has added their version of the HTC Touch phone which would be added to the listings as T-Mobile MDA Touch! The design is almost the same as the original HTC Touch but slight alterations can be seen in the call buttons which are more squared! The price hasn’t been official announced yet, but the German carrier has it that it will hit the stores from July onwards!
