According to a survey conducted by Consumer Reports amongst a group of 50,000 mobile users, AT&T was rated the worst of all.

The rating was based on quality of service, dropped calls, service availability and circuit capacity. Verizon actually topped the list in all 26 cities surveyed, followed by T-Mobile and Sprint. AT&T was pushed to the last in 19 of the 26 cities surveyed.

Launch of iPhone by exclusive contract was a huge success for At&t but they were not able to handle the increased number of subscriber base. Something like people say, they bit too much than what they could possibly chew maybe.

Upon hearing so many complaints of dropped calls, poor voice quality, no coverage, data failure and other issues, At&t even went to the extent of making an iPhone application called “Mark The Spot” that will help users report their problems with geo location attached. But we ain’t sure if the data provided by users through this application will ever be heard and fixed by At&t.
