A new concept in calling your favorite contact is created by TecAce software company for Samsung Omnia II PocketPc that looks stunningly nice but fails badly upon usage. Read below to find out why.

The application looks like it was mainly designed for the latest Samsung Omnia II Pocket PC according to the demonstration video and the way it works by using the G-sensor and compass probably. The software simply monitors your frequent callers and add them automatically to a favorite list and next time you can call them through the Dialer Ace’ 3D interface.

You are presented with 16 contacts icons sorted in a grid of 8 icons in 2 pages which is launched by pressing the green Call button on your Pocket PC. You can then press the 3D view button at the top left corner to launch the 3D interface where each contact is shown in a 3D carousel view and to move through the selection you have to entirely move around (see in the video below). You then have to flip forwards to begin calling.

Why it sucks? In a traditional way, with intelligent t9 and other sorting mechanisms, you can call a person in less than two taps. But with this software, you need two taps and keep moving around until you find the person to call. Taking extra time plus makes people around think that you’re Pocket PC is very poor in signal strengths so you’re constantly moving around for it or maybe you’re using At&t whose poor service is being based around lately.
