Download Opera 9.5 for PocketPC

Monday, 26 May 2008

opera pocketpcWe told you about the war of the browsers, published a review on NetFront' 3.5 concept version and no wonder HTC has chosen Opera to be the default browser for their recently hyped pocketpc Touch Diamond.

Download the leaked copy or read more to find out our first impressions on Opera' latest offering.

Things like ripping is not uncommon in this pocket pc world and it happens very early. Likewise, someone has already ripped the latest version of Opera browser 9.5 build 781 from the HTC Diamond PocketPC which is not even out on the markets.

First impressions on the browser: Amazing! It renders websites a little faster and quite better than Net Front. Faster in the sense, Net Front seems to show up the pages only after the whole or almost whole of the site is loaded, which takes really a long time for those huge sites on a slower connections like GPRS. But Opera seems to load the important elements like the texts much before than the images and so it seems to load things a little faster. But relatively, it seemed a little slower in performance when compared to Net Front.
