The Microsoft has launched the Software Development Kit for Windows Mobile 6.5, which allows the developers to start creating applications for the recently release Smartphone OS.

Also the Microsoft pointed out that the developers will now be provided a set of APIs which will allow them to take advantage of the new Windows Mobile 6.5 touch gesture framework. This will allow the application to handle touch gesture input and provide a visually consistent experience with rest of the device UI.

The Software Developer Kit consists of documentation, sample code, header and library files, emulator image and tools to visual Studio that helps you in building applications for WM 6.5.The Emulator Images in the Windows Mobile 6.5 SDK are:

• WM 6.5 Professional Square Emulator
• WM 6.5 Professional QVGA Emulator
• WM 6.5 Professional WQVGA Emulator
• WM 6.5 Professional VGA Emulator
• WM 6.5 Professional WVGA Emulator
• WM 6.5 Standard Square Emulator
• WM 6.5 Standard QVGA Emulator

SDK is available in English, German, Chinese, Spanish, French and Italian. You can download it from Microsoft’ website.
