The latest navigation software-iGuidance v4.0 has been launched! Find out more about this software. iGuidance v4. 0-the latest navigation software for Windows Mobile and Laptop UMPC was released recently! This software has the latest Map update (Navteq Q3-2006) data which is far better than Windows Live Search (according to GPS Passion). The MapLoader is now unnecessary because the entire map (1.3 GB) will now be saved on the storage card (WM version). This reduction (from 2.2 GB) from the previous version is due to the restructuring of the entire program code itself rather than compression! This device has a slew of new features which include an all new Navteq map (which now includes Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands), a text-to-speech (TTS) facility which provides you the street name in voice guidance and extended POI listings which contain approximately 6 million listings! There is a pre-generated seamless map for the entire North America which is 1.3 GB and the automatic font sizing helps economic storage of POIs with extra long names! For the car pc/UMPC without keyboard, the full screen easy toggle option is always available! There is a need for internet and software activation process in order to run this software. The pocket PC should have at least a minimum of 2GB SD/CF since each map file is approximately 1.3GB! For those customers who have purchased iGuidance v3 from an authorized reseller on or before 3/15/07 would be eligible for a free v4 upgrade exchange (which is due for release shortly)! Now, isnt that good news? And those who wish to buy this software click here. |
