Experienced PocketPc users will know on first sight at Titanium that it might have been created in one night with no special features. It’s like something just made to replace the old Today screen in the new Windows Mobile 6.5. Here’s how you can improve it.

Although Microsoft did not release proper documentation or APIs to code for the Titanium plug-in available as a Today plug-in replacing the entire old home screen, that does not mean the code is sealed. Hackers have already reverse engineered those poor blocks of quickly made code and now adding more features to it.

JML Panex is abbreviated for Panel Execute which provides multiple hotspots on a single plug-in which can be associated to pictures or icons and programs. To make it much easier to understand, in one panel of the Titanium, you can now have more than one buttons. It is actually made using the free scrip engine software Mort Script for PocketPc and so you must install it prior to JML Panex.

By default, Titanium consists of a few panels slid from top to bottom and each of them will be linked to a single shortcut. Now with the help of JML Panex, you can have multiple buttons or icons on a single panel. For example, in one panel of Titanium plug-in, you could have shortcuts to your favorite programs, display icons with SMS notification numbers and so on.

You can even have a multi-day weather icons displayed on a panel. In short, JML Panex is just the base that has been prepared, on top of which coders will take advantage and develop some neat applications or widgets to work with it and we should be expecting such stuff in a short while.
