Recently we had an interesting question from one of our pocket pc enthusiast, where he would like to set the Month view as default start up page on his Calendar application that comes bundled with pocket pc. Read more to find out a work around for this.

Calendar in windows mobile pocket pc is handled by the application poutlook.exe with the arguement calendar. If that is too technical for you, a shortcut pointing to poutlook.exe with arguement calendar, will open the Calendar application on your pocket pc. If you would like to open it in month view directly, you need to pass additional arguements like -vm. So the exact code to the shortcut would be

poutlook.exe calendar -vm
