iPhone style has given a plethora of waves to the development of Windows mobile applications. Here's another one in the same direction, letting you change the today screen of your PocketPC!

Iphone today is more an iPhone clone, or rather a mix of iFonz and iDiamond Project that, united to S2U2, will be a good alternative to the actual interfaces.

Still in development stage but gives another option to pocket pc users if they want to bring the same glory of Iphone to their Windows mobile. IphoneClone seems to be an amateur project from its face but giving a refreshing experience on that boring pocket pc today screen. we are expecting the developer to develop the application further with few more features than the ones he is boasting now viz -
- Multiples screens (With animates transactions)
- Notification on icons for calls, sms, etc
- Is a Today (No problems when we push the home button, no problems with incoming calls, ...)
- Compatibility with others todays (By example: Date Today and iPhoneToday after), today height configurable
- QVGA, VGA, WVGA... (The user define the icon size and height screen)
- Icons configuration in xml (you can to do copy & paste to other device)
- Write on C++
- For now, only 62Kb + Icons in memory

All this while we wanted an iPhone theme on our Pocket PC. For the first time, since the launch of Windows Phone 7, it has turned the other way round.  It is a bit surprise to see a Windows Phone 7 Series theme on an iPhone and it clearly suggests that the future for Windows Mobile is right or the guys at MS are heading in the right direction.

In attempts to gain market share in the mobile arena after the huge success seen by the iPhone, Microsoft has planned to invest around $1 billion dollars to the research and development of Windows Mobile division.

Looks like the hype around iPhone is over and now its back to Symbian with the all new theme for Windows Mobile 6.5 based PocketPC phones.

We heard them coming and now, it has happened. Let’s wait for the same with Android pretty soon. Or who knows, Windows Mobile 7 might be a killer but by the time it launches, Android may get more powerful and mature, overtaking iPhone or whatever mobile OS exist.

Till date, there had been no virus or threat designed to target the Windows Mobile platform but iPhone already has many worms within 2 years of its launch and the latest worm steals banking information too. Does that mean Windows Mobile is a safer platform?
