Here comes a combination of good and bad news for you. The good – DivX Player for the PocketPc are now available for free download. The bad – It is only a trial version which expires in very few days of usage.

This free downloadable DivX player can be installed to your PocketPC and allows videos to be watched, even if the phone is not officially certified for the DivX player compatibility. There were many versions of the DivX player released for PocketPC phones previously but this is a version that works better than the rest.

This time, DivX player is compatible with various version of Windows Mobile OS right from 6.0 and also works on smartphone or non-touch screen editions. The time when it stops working or the trial expires is unknown but hope it lasts at least until the next updated version pops out.
