User generated content is the essence of web 2.0 world and it keeps expanding to every field each and every day. Waze is a new start up providing dynamic user generated maps and traffic details as well.

Their concept is pretty simple and straight forward. Once you install the application, it anonymously collects GPS data as you drive through the city and aids in mapping on their servers. Bases on your speed variations, the application can automatically detect the traffic situation too. So when someone else uses the same road, they get updated with information shared by your device.

Although the application collects data automatically, you can still manually update points of interest, parking areas, traffic details, road constructions and maintenance work, accidents and incidents, speed cams, police traps and so on..

Currently we could not get a sneak peak through the application but they are registering for alpha testers right now and if you’re interested, head over to Waze.
