HTC's mobile service portal

Wednesday, 09 July 2008

myconnect For those who are oblivious to the release of HTC MyConnect 2.0 and PL@NET, this one is akin to an educational tour of sorts. PL@NET is the mobile service portal exclusively for Taiwan which is slated to go live this month.

If you’re ignorant of the local language, then an online translator would be a necessity as you decipher the text. Shopping, travel and entertainment services are what you can expect from the above, if we’re to believe HTC.

The set up works this way- the HTC MyConnect 2.0 on your mobile device will connect to PL@NET as soon as you enter it and allows you to access every service hosted through the portal. HTC claims that this forum would provide handset users with extra connectivity and unlimited access to myriad internet retailers. Music from Warner Music, travel planning from ez Travel, online magazines from Touch Book, books from Eslite, shopping from HappyGoCard and other such services are at your fingertips.

If you don’t mind spending a wee bit of time to figure out the installation process (which is also in Taiwanese), click here to download.
