When Apple' Mobile Me service gets a clone from Microsoft? They name it "My Phone"

A cloud based service, widely rumored as Skybox is now official as My Phone and in Beta stage currently open only to invites. This new Microsoft cloud based service synchronizes important information like contacts, calendar appointments, tasks, text messages, photos, video, etc.. from a windows mobile pocket pc or a smartphone to a password protected Web site. Once synchronized, you can easily back-up and restore the data.

My Phone also provides an easy to use Web portal where people can access and manage content on the phone as well as share that information with others.

Microsoft does not charge a fee for the My Phone service at this time. Even though Apple charged 99 USD for their MobileMe service, soon upon introduction, the number of people used their service was un anticipated and crashed their servers. But when Microsoft makes this paid, we're sure you won't take it. We bet Microsoft servers won't crash. Not because of their servers being powerfull enough but we anticipate the number of users going to be fairly less. What do you say?
