We ain’t sure what’s wrong with promoting their own Windows Mobile platform but a recent marketing strategy suggests a secret deal between Microsoft and RIM Blackberry. Meanwhile, Samsung enjoys in the middle.

Microsoft has recently sent an email newsletter to millions of people suggesting the use of Windows Live messenger on Blackberry and by doing so, you could win a 40 inch LCD TV from Samsung.

If you own a blackberry, all you have to do is, simply sign-up here before Christmas and you will have a chance to win. Microsoft has still not announced how many LCD TVs are to be won so be guess it’s going to be for just one lucky blackberry user.

On the other hand, Blackberry phones especially from Verizon wireless are using Bing as the default and only search provider. If you would like to use Google, you must first visit Google in the Blackberry browser, bookmark and make it your favorite, then download. Which leaves a lot of users to use Bing as a forced search engine option.

Now where’s the deal with Microsoft’ own Windows Mobile platform? If Microsoft continues to encourage users with Blackberry and other smartphones, what will be the future of Windows Mobile?

Maybe Microsoft thinks Bing has a better market profit than Windows Mobile? They have not seen the power of mobiles even after the iPhone was out or maybe they ended up thinking iPhone is hard to compete with? Either way they would be wrong if you look at the new Android platform. It’s gaining momentum very fast and we’re sure it will overtake both Windows Mobile as well as iPhone in the coming months. Let’s wait and see what Microsoft has got for our fellow Windows Mobile users.
