While LG and HTC have already announced their plans on a Windows Mobile 7 Pocket PC even before its launch, Motorola confirmed that there won’t be anything from them at least this 2010.

The confirmation is solid as it came from the General Manager of Motorola in an interview with CNET Asia. He pointed out that, Motorola is planning to launch 20 to 30 Smartphones this year, at this moment all will be Android pre-installed.

In addition, they will be available according to the company’s partnership with various network operators in each country confirming that they will not be available everywhere. For other models the OS included will be Brew or Motorola’s own system.

Maybe this was a decision taken after getting a little bit of success with Android powered Droid which got released on Verizon networks recently and also an opportunity to cut licensing fee to Microsoft as Windows Mobile is not an open source or free platform.

So, if you are a fan of Motorola, who wants Windows Mobile 7 on it , should have to change your plans, and there are some hopes of the same in coming years as the Motorola GM stated that “at this moment”.
