The first generation At&t Tilt was a huge success for them but they have been waiting a little longer for the second generation.  And finally, here it comes, set to launch on October 18th.

First generation At&t Tilt was a rebranded HTC TyTn and the second generation At&t Tilt will be the rebranded Touch Pro 2. This time, it is hard to foresee any success because the same device was already launched by all other competing carriers like Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon but At&t still have their own army of customers to grab this baby as it arrives and thinks better late than never.

And for being late, we get Windows Mobile 6.5 out of the box as the same Touch Pro 2 on other networks was released with the older Windows Mobile 6.1 only. But HTC did confirm a Windows Mobile 6.5 update for all Touch Pro 2 users very soon.

Humorously, Windows Mobile 6.5 and number 6 or 6 days are kinda coinciding. We mean, on October 6th, Windows Mobile 6.5 PocketPC phones go on sale. Another 6 days and you can see the HTC Leo coming up. Another 6 days, At&t Tilt comes out. Let’s see what pops out for October 24th.
