While there is no news on Clamshell, Toshiba pushed their much awaited TG01 on sale through most carriers. Could be a tough competitor for the iPhone and the Touch PRO 2 as well.

Packed with a custom Today screen plug-in with a neat flipping interface on top of Windows Mobile, we hope there shall be no problems such as lockups faced by their old sluggish devices since this will be the first PocketPC phone to sport the 1 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor to work as a beast.

The abundant horsepower along with the 4.1 inch WVGA touch screen shall put iPhone to shame only if it didn’t have Windows Mobile OS beneath.

Right now you can get this Toshiba TG01 PocketPC from O2 Germany for ~200 Euros or from Orange in UK. We hope to see this soon in At&t or other major carriers in the US but nothing is confirmed yet.

Toshiba IS02, powered by Windows Mobile 6.5.3 OS is all set to invade Europe within a month and is touted to be the World’s thinnest mobile phone.

The long awaited PocketPC HTC Touch HD2 is finally available on sale in Europe and a few Asian countries. People in the US might have to wait a little more.

The 1Ghz snapdragon chipset powered Windows Phone beast Touch HD2 with the new version of TouchFLO 3D will be coming to T-Mobile very soon.

Previously, on June 24, when HTC announced a major press conference, we thought the second generation Touch HD will be coming but HTC presented a whole new dimension with the Android powered Hero. Here comes the Touch HD 2 with Windows Mobile of course.

On October 6h, Acer, the same company who acquired Eten about a year ago, will be officially launching the F1 PocketPC and it will be the most powerful windows mobile PocketPC for the price they offer.

Not satisfied with the Toshiba TG01 that has a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor with a large 4.1” Touch screen? HTC makes something slightly better for you and calls it the Leo or Firestone.

We thought Toshiba TG01 will be the only competitor for HTC Touch PRO 2. But it looks like Omnia 2 is on the line too with a bright AMOLED touch screen.
