While WM7 will be a breath-taking update, 6.1 hasn't shown much improvements but just the following:

• Threaded SMS - A Chat like function for your SMS Inbox
• Zoom out in Pocket IE - Enables Page overview mode and better navigation
• One Note included in Office Mobile
• Running Programs tab in Settings > Memory replaced to a better Task Manager. (But the previous running programs tab was much simple and easier)
• A new Managed Programs menu

About a year ago, Google’s first official Youtube Player for the Windows Mobile and Nokia S60 Series was released and since then, they had been dormant for all this while as HTC made some better players. Now Google has decided to give some life back to their own project.

All this while we wanted an iPhone theme on our Pocket PC. For the first time, since the launch of Windows Phone 7, it has turned the other way round.  It is a bit surprise to see a Windows Phone 7 Series theme on an iPhone and it clearly suggests that the future for Windows Mobile is right or the guys at MS are heading in the right direction.

We have seen the Android Operating System loaded on to an HTC Diamond 2 and at that time not many of the components were working fine but it was a good start and a proof of concept. But now the XDAndroid project has gone a lot further for the Windows Mobile devices by installing Android on the HTC Touch Pro.
