Along with the Touch Diamond 2, HTC also showed a qwerty keyboard attached version, the Touch Pro 2.

Their previous Touch Pro was almost the same as the Touch Diamond with a qwerty keyboard but this time apart with some more changes. Most importantly the screen size is a slight bigger. Touch Diamond 2 has a 3.2” touch screen however, Touch Pro 2 will have a 3.6” touch screen with the same 480x800 WVGA resolution.

Interestingly, HTC has added an additional microphone to support noise cancellation and enhanced speakerphone to support conference calls. This makes us understand that HTC clearly wants to make a Windows Mobile that has more of communication and phone functionalities.

Unlike the previous Touch Pro which had a slide-out keyboard, Touch Pro 2 will have the keyboard slide out and screen tilts like their old HTC Tytn II for enhanced viewing experience. The keyboard is also well spaced with 5 rows of keys.

The same zoom bar, push internet, straight talk, touchflo 3D will also be the additional highlights of Touch Pro 2.

Unfortunately there will be no D-Pad and to disappoint more, there will be only 3.2 mega pixel camera whereas the Touch Diamond 2 boasts of 5 mega pixels.

You may not actually want to tilt it all the way up during normal use as it does block the number row of the keyboard which is incredibly good. TouchFlo 3D is very snappy and has all of the improvements from the Touch HD including Stocks and the ability to reorder or hide tabs. The other nice new thing: it's fully there in landscape mode. Actually the clever bit is that in landscape mode the tabs auto-hide, you tap on the left to bring them up and slide over to the one that you want to use. Very intelligent use of space.
