On October 6th, the day when Windows Mobile 6.5 devices will come on sale officially, Verizon will launch their first Windows Mobile 6.5 PocketPC, the HTC Imagio.

Codenamed the HTC WhiteStone, will have a 3.6” resistive touch screen with WVGA resolution, powered by a 528 Mhz Qualcomm processor (pretty standard now). Interestingly, HTC has added a 5 MP camera with auto-focus in this Pocket PC. GPS and other basic features are all included too. Who wants it now?

Recently, an in depth analysis revealed that Verizon wireless is low on profits because they don’t launch interesting devices. That is quite true in our opinion, when compared to At&t and other competitors. Maybe Verizon have realized this and planned to launch the Imagio? Still, Imagio is not very interesting with some eye catching, never before revealed features but just a plain old device like Touch HD getting a better camera and Windows Mobile 6.5 update.
