HTC Imagio from Verizon and HTC Touch Pro 2 from At&t are all set to launch this month and this scares sprint to reduce their Touch Pro 2’ price. We still find reasons to pick At&t as a better option.

Sprint has been selling the Touch Pro 2 for quite some time now at about $ 350 USD. Although At&t is late to the market when they announced the second generation Tilt, Sprint knew they’re going down and hence decided to reduce the price of Touch Pro 2 to about $199 USD.  Even at this price, we’d say it is touch to compete because the newly announced HTC Imagio is coming to Verizon networks for the same $199 price tag.

So, which one do you choose? If you look deeper, the HTC Imagio maybe a newer model but lacks a QWERTY keyboard unlike the Touch PRO 2. This one factor should be enough for you to decide on the best one that works for you. QWERTY or No QWERTY!

Also don’t forget that Sprint’ version of Touch Pro 2 is still on Windows Mobile 6.1 but the HTC Imagio and At&t’ Touch Pro 2 will have Windows Mobile 6.5 out of the box. That shifts our desire to pick At&t Tilt 2 but let’s wait for At&t’ pricing details.

So Sprint, if you would still like to stay in the market with Touch Pro 2, go pull HTC for their promises of Windows Mobile 6.5 updates to your Touch Pro 2.
